In my understanding, read is the meaning to see, listen and understand all material around us in purpose to interpret it into simple statement.

"WHAT TO READ"

In this section slot, Mr.Wan Burhanuddin has come out a formula or so-called 'steps', here are the steps,

INTENTION > ACT > PRODUCT

At the first sight in a material, our mind will pop up some questions to the material we wonder about and these are the intention to us to get it clear and understood. For example, 'wh' question could help us to get the answer, such us "what is it?", "how does this work?"and so on. But, the way for asking question should be reasonably acceptable and logical.

Once the intention has come out, the next step is to act on it. The essential to work on this step is to equip yourself with basic tools. Basic tools are consider soft skills, techniques and knowledge that one person has. Thus, we have to work on the intention that we have to realize it and not only just talk but doing nothing.

After the plan has come up with steps and processes, so, a product would able to come out through the plan which has been settling. Product is thing that comes out from our self and generates in different form, such as, rubbish, carbon dioxide and so on.

ACTORS > RULES > SITE

The meaning of the actors in built environment is refer to the departments and individuals of a construction. The actors in built environment are consist of architecture, interior designer, building technology, quantity surveyor, urban and regional planner and building surveyor. These actors have their own responsibility, role and aim that link with each other to complete a construction.

Rules in the built environment are as a guide line for actors to follow. Rule could help them follow the process immediately throughout the construction. For examples, the construction cost, payment mode, construction due date and so on. Besides that, it does not only refer to civil construction rule, but also related to ritual rule and law.

Site in the built environment is refer to the earth's surface, physical qualities, climate, population and products. Actors will decide a construction where to be built on. This is because different constructive have to meet the specification of a site. There are many factors that will influence a product to be built.

DOCUMENTING

Documenting is the process, action to arrange and manage different form of resource and document into more tidy and systematic to do as a reference.

Below are the tools to documenting:

  1. Document (text, images)
  2. Communicate (text, images, argue, exhibition)
  3. Design (images, objects, spaces, events)
  4. Construct (a page of history)
  5. Serve (bottom billion, top>ten)

PLAGIARISM

At the end of the section, Mr. Wan Burhanuddin has explain us about the plagiarism and taught us how to avoid it. This is because PLAGIARISM is considered as a crime.
